Supporting the Youth Through Enrichment Activities

Houston After School Learning Center empowers youths in lower-income households, in Houston’s Fort Bend County and the surrounding communities. We facilitate various development programs that enhance their skills and knowledge.

How It All Started

With over 10 years of involvement in community service initiatives, Edward Rector saw the importance of investing in enrichment programs for our youth. His desire to bring positive impact to communities led him to start our organization in 2016.

Youth Education

We understand that many young people within our community are struggling with their education and do not have the resources to improve. To this end, we offer after-school educational assistance and mentorship programs to provide them with the guidance they need.

Youth Athletics

Engaging in sports is a great way for young people improve their skills and physical health while building an athletic background that can help them find scholarship opportunities in the future. Through our sports activities, we hope to help them realize their full potential.

Community Service

Our organization knows that the key to creating a happier and healthier community is to help the most disadvantaged residents. That is why we partner with food banks in our area as a way of helping people going through hard times and giving back to the community.

Engaging With the Youth Through Our Programs

We offer after-school educational assistance, mentorship programs, and sporting activities to help students realize their full potential. Our organization also takes pride in its partnerships with food banks, which allow us to give back to the community.
